What are the minimum qualifications to become a 3@1 franchisee?

Outgoing personalities who feel a sense of fulfilment from serving and supporting business owners and consumers alike. Some business and management experience is an advantage. Most of all an applicant must have a enjoy building relationships with customers.

If a prospective franchisee meets these qualifications and a good credit rating, 3@1 can also offer assistance to secure financing.

How much does a franchise cost?

In a site measuring 70-90sqm in the region of R595 000. This amount excludes your landlords deposit and your working capital. This depends on your rental, credit rating and quality of trade.

How much are royalties and advertising contributions?

R2500 plus VAT or 3% whichever is the greater in Royalties. Advertising Vetting fee of R350 plus VAT applies monthly. No advertising fee is applicable. You advertise in your area to your customers. We offer a wide variety of ever changing advertising material and tools and direct you to growth as you move forward.

What about location? Do I have to find the location on my own?

3@1 works with the franchise prospect to source, evaluate and secure a suitable site for their franchise. This may take between 3 weeks to 3 months.

Will I need employees? If so, how many?

Yourself and two to start with and more as you grow your business. These will be trained with you at the time of your store opening.

What are the hours of operation?

This depends on the centre hours that you are located in. Generally 5,5 days a week. Larger shopping centres could trade 7 days a week with extended hours.

How long does it take to open my 3@1 Franchise?

Once a lease agreement and franchise agreement is signed, it usually takes approximately 60 to 90 days to date of trade. This depends largely on sourcing and securing a site. In the case of a newly constructed shopping centre, the timeframe could be longer.
